~~Hari Raya~~

Woke up earlier than usual... Stretch out... yawns...

*knocks*

Mom: "Dib, we're waiting for U downstairs... Hurry up!! I thought you're all exited about the Raya Prayer"

Oh no, I forgot about the Raya Prayer!! What am I going to do... I haven't bath yet!!

D'Ba: "Err mom... I'm not ready yet, could you please wait for a lil bit, say half an hour?"

Dad: "Half an hour?!?!"

D'Ba: "Yeah, I just woke up and I seriously need a bath"

Mom: "But after half an hour we'll be late, and all the front rows will be filled... and it will be hard for us to find a spot in the mosque"

D'Ba: *sighed* "Oh well, I won't go then..."

Mom and Dad rushed out the door that instance. I went back upstairs, woke my sis up and get ready for the next big agenda of the day...
Visiting The Deads
There's nothing scary here, although its almost Halloween... Hehehe... So I Grab my blue Kitab Surah Yassin, went downstairs to have breakfast and waited for my parent to come home. Surah Yassin is essential for visiting the cemetry, its our Muslim way o giving presents to the deads. My Sis was having her 'period' that day, so according to the muslim's rule, she can't recite the Surah Yassin. Despite that, she wants to go with us.
My parents came and have breakfast with us. Mum suddenly grab my fathers hand and kissed it, asking for forgiveness at the same tym. This was later followed by my sis and me. Next me and my sis kissed my mom's hand and ask for her forgiveness. After that, I kissed my sis hand an ask for forgiveness. This ritual was quite new for us... we only started this at about 5 years ago... So its kinda awkward. But the same thing goes on year after year... Its always the young who ask the older for forgiveness and never the other way around.
We found ourselves late for the cemetry, and so we rushed there. Entering the cemetry yard was quite overwhelming, thinking that this place is the end of all journey. Soon, we arrive at my late grandparents (my dad's late parents) and my late sister's grave. We took a deep breath, found a place to sit, and started reciting the Surah Yassin. This is another tradition that my family kept for more than two decades, visiting my grandparents graves on the first day of Raya, and its also the moment of truth, Its when I know how fluent my Yassin recitation is compared to my dad's, and yet after almost two decades, I still can't cope up with my dad's recitation and ended up finishing last.
We then poured what we called as 'Air Asah-Asahan' onto my grandparents and my late sis grave. It was amazing to know that my late sis is in heaven now. Her grave was small, she was just a baby of 10mins old. If she is alive ryt now, she'll be 20 years old.
Ryt after that, we went back home and pack our things for our long journey to Tutong. I packed up my EAS homework, and my sis packed up her assignments. We make a short stop in Lubok Pulau, where my grandfather's (my mum's late father) grave is located. Again we recite the surah yassin besides my late grandfather's grave. Its almost noon, so the sun is quite hot. I was lucky that I sat wit the sun on my back, but my parents weren't. So they open an umbrella each, which then made me give away a laughing squek half the way through my recitation, because my parents looked like two popping mushroom of different colours. I can't stop smilling and giggling, especially because they sat right in front of me. Again I finished last.
When its finally over, we headed to my only living grandparent left. Can you guess who it is? Well, its my grandmother on my mother's side. Hehehe, And then I lived happily ever after... Amin...
So I guess this is my final blogpost, before I turn inactive for my AS Level. My original idea was to post 4 days of raya, but then I'm short of time. I picked the first day of Raya coz its so meaningful then the rest, and because i get to see my grandmother, my late grandparents and my late sis's grave, and ask forgiveness from my parents and my sis.
So, I'll end it here... Wishing you all the best in your life. Have fun and we'll see each other again at my Halloween post... See Ya Soon

A Very Blurred and Confused Day O_o

Its the second day of school after the third school holiday ended, and we're using normal timetables again. This is quite hard for me to get used to since the week before the holiday, we were using the Fasting Month timetable.
Okay, non-PTE student might be wondering, What is a Fasting Month timetable? Well, it's a rescheduled timetable which ensure us to finish school exactly at 12p.m, not 2p.m as what Normal timetable would do. Lessons were cut short, from 1hr 10 min to just 50 min, with only one period of break time of 10 mins, and without 5min students movement time between classes. So its a very chaotic world in PTE during fasting month. We registered at 7.30 til 7.40, then straight off to the first class until 8.30, that's when we started to move to the next class, after that we have our break time from 9.20 til 9.30 at which we prepare ourselves for the next 3 classes in a row, non-stop until the clock struck 12.
So, to start it all off, I came to PTE without my glasses on which is nothing unusual since
I always hangs it between my 'baju kurung' button everytime I enters the PTE central hallway gate. Finally I reach my locker, put my stuff in and went upstairs to the usual C.G-7 Locker Crew morning hangout place. Along the way, I saw, with my blurry eyesights of course, lots of them standing up so I reach for my spectacles and to my surprise, its not there!!
I was thinking lyk, OMG OMG... I wanna go home!! It's useless to come to PTE without my glasses!! How am I going to see the whiteboard?!?!
And so... My Very Blurred and Confused Day started... Q in music!!
Hahaha.
  • The Blurry Maths Class

First class was Maths, and I was a bit lucky because my seat is at front. Today's lesson was finishing the past year paper, so there's not much trouble here, except when teacher started to write out the solutions on the board. Luckily, I have C-Pie to copy from, good thing that we sits next to each other.

Homework: Maths Paper 1 June 2006

  • The Lucky Chemistry Class

Next up, Chemistry. This class really worries me, because in it, my seat was the furtest from the whiteboard. Our formerly pregnant teacher have come back to school today since early August, that's when she delivered a healthy baby boy. In my attempt to get through the lesson, I ask Intan to help me and she agreed. Luckily, since my teacher haven't printed out our notes yet our class got cancelled and we just do our own work in the chemistry lab under her supervision. Thank GOD, Alhamdulillah... I spend this free time finishing my Maths Homework.

  • Break Time

As always, I went down to C.G-7 locker, obviously it's the C.G-7 Locker Crew break and lunch hangout place. I told the crew on how my day went so far, about the lucky chems. Then I prepare myself for the 3 storey stair climb to my next destination, Geography Class.

  • The Restless Geography Lesson

Teacher came in late today, so I spend most of my time waiting for my teacher to come by finishing what's left in my Maths Homework. When teacher came, I was satisfied that I only have 3 more questions to answer. Then came the awful sentence from my teacher,

'It's time for a short test'.

Not that I worried about my test preparation, I know I wasn't. The instant I looked at the OHP slide for the test, I know I was doomed. All I see was nothing but blotches of ink!! And teacher was expecting us to copy the diagram, identify the processes and submit by the end of the class!!

So I copied the diagram for Adibah, my former schoolmate and my present geomates, who sits next to me in class. Hahahaha, how silly I must've been, copying from others when it's supposedly a test!! But, Thanks To GOD, again... Alhamdulillah... That Miss Lim was very nice today, maybe she knew I left my glasses at home, my seat was in front ya know...

  • The Great EAS Reading

Why is it great? Because we spent most of the period reading other people's writing on contrasting pieces and correcting them. So not much of a prob here, only when sir started to speak. I need to see his mouth movement when he's talking to understand what is he talking about. Well, I didn't get much of the lips movement, even his face was like a splash of pigments, all mashed up below his grey hair. That's what U get when you forgot your glasses, U turn ur teachers into a very low definition blokes, virtually of course.

  • The Mistaken Physics Class (a.k.a Lunch Time)

Remember when I told you about Fasting Month timetable? Yup, just minutes ago. See, unlike during the Fasting Month, today we have LUNCH TIME after our fourth class because we're using Normal Timetable now. Influenced by the thought of Fasting Month Timetable, I thought we don't!! So there I was walking through the hallway to my next class, Physics. Along the way, I saw Yeet Yang walking along the 1st floor science block balcony. I thought, maybe the Physics Class change place. So I followed him, innocently, until he opened a locker which, after some confusing time, I figured it's his. And now, prepare yourself for the most blurred and confused action I made today...

After seeing Yeet Yang opening his locker, I shouted at him, saying that in a way he confused me for believing that the physics class was somewhere else. He replied asking whether or not I followed him all the way to his locker. Well, of course I did!! What else would you do when ur classmates suddenly change routes when you are supposedly going to the same class? I mean, you'll follow him too if he's your classmate, right? Right?

I turned around and we headed for the stairs, which really amaze me since no one climbed up the stairs but us, most of the students were climbing down, a whole lot of them. So I thought I must be late for class! I hurried my footsteps and finally reach the physics lab. In front of the lab door, I found a notice stating that the lab will be close stating for 14th October, so I stand there, tying to remember the date of today's. Luckily, we found Mr.Prakash passing by and he made a hand movement which I can't recognise because, erm... its blurry!! Yeet Yang then said we will be studying in the other physics lab. Since its not 14th oct yet, I wonder why we moved... We head for the other physics lab when suddenly i realised that Mr.Prakash is going the other way.

Confused by his action, I asked, 'But where are you going sir?'.

Looking confused himself, Mr.Prakash can't get through his words. Yeet Yang then replied, 'Errr... Lunch' at which I thought was a joke. I laughed though. Now that I thought of it, I must've looked very silly.

We reached the other physics lab and I opened the door. To my surpise, no one is there. So I was asking wether or not its the lab we're suppose to go to. He said yes. Then why the heck isn't it full of our classmates? And then it struck me...

'Err... because it's lunch time?!?! (duuh)', he said.

I stood there, mouth open, froze for a while, trying to get all into my brain... Finally I came back to my senses... I felt a reddish pigmentation on my cheeks and it felt warm.

'Oh My GOD, It's Lunch Time? It's Lunch Time!' and there I was rambling about the stuff that happened right before that very moment. My mind was completely occupied by the fact it was Lunch Time that I can't even hear myself rambles. All Yeet Yang could say was that I'm so confused today. Feeling embarrased, I left the physics lab. Went down to C.G-7 lunch hangout place, found Din, Pie & Eddie who asked where the heck had I been. I told the crew of the embarassing incident and they all had a big laugh over it.

  • The Real Physics Class

I came in late, probably because of my embarrasment towards Mr.Prakash and Yeet Yang. I thought of escaping, but I left my things in the physics lab just before I went for lunch. Escaping plan, big no-no. Still not getting over it, I decided to divert away just as I reach the physics door and went to the toilet. There I stood in front of the mirror, alone, saying that it couldn't get any worse. Besides, only a few people knows about it. Finally I went inside, dare not to even have a glance at both Mr.Prakash and Yeet Yang.

As the lessons went on, I haven't have a clue what sir is writing on the board. Because of my new seat position, Wakkil is sitting next to me and I wasn't quite use to having him helped me. I wasn't use to having my male friends helps me, only those who are the closest. This is because, to somebody, I might be a nobody, and not everyone wants to help a nobody. So there I was, trying my best to answer the questions given when suddenly I got confused over something, and I turn to Mr.Prakash for help. Quite odd because for the same question, I was solving the unknown x but sir was expecting me to solve the unknown D. Then it hits me...

'U r using the wrong equation! We are using that equation (pointing at the whiteboard), that's why I wrote it there'

Oh my god, Mr.Prakash must've thought I wasn't paying any attention to the class. I was!! Its just that the whiteboard seems unwritten from my view. And besides, I was concentrating on other questions when he explained about the equation. I guess it was my fault. At least I admit it... I thought it was over, when suddenly Mr.Prakash stood in front of the class and said,

'Adibah was using the wrong equation. See, I told U that we need to find the 'tita' first by using Tan 'tita', then we can substitute it to the equation to find D. See... (continues lecturing me)... because it is difraction grating, and not the double slit experiment, so don't use the double slit equation!!'

I was like, Oh my GOD, Ya Allah, besar sungguh dugaan-Mu pada hamba Mu ini... The whole class listened as Mr.Prakash lectured me. I was red from top to bottom. I was humiliated, or so I think I was, but I believe that Mr.Prakash intention was good. I think today is the top 5 Most Embarassing Day Of My Life.... So Far.

Homework: Homework Assignment 1

  • A Very Personal P.S Time

Since I took 5 subjects, I lost my P.S time (Personal Study Time) so I thought i the school can't give me any, I'll just have to make my own very personal Personal Study Time. Around 2pm, I went to the library, study there until my dad came to pick me up from school, which is around 5pm. Yesterday, I went with Joo Sie. Today, she outrun me, and arrived at the library earlier than me. I tried to search for her seat so that I could sit next to her. I can't. So I picked a seat under the lights and went outside to get more stuff. Found Joo Sie along the way but she looked busy so I wasn't sure if I really want to disturb her. So I passed on the thoughts of sitting besides her.

Took out my Physics and Maths Homework and started to finish it. I got stuck on Q.4 for Physics. I wanted to ask sir, but I wonder wether he has gone back home or not. I decided that I won't risk another chance getting embarrass, entering the teacher's lounge when my teacher wasn't there. Overall, I'm satisfied. Despite my blurry vision, confused thoughts and being humiliated, I finished my homeworks except for those that I wasn't sure of. My way of regaining my self-esteem.
